Novels with Spirit

by Johnnie R Jones

For many, reading the Bible can be challenging, particularly when trying to follow the story in chronological order. The order does vary somewhat because the authors were farmers, herders, fishermen, rulers, religious leaders, etc. Few writers of the Bible were trained in grammar or journalism in their day. Having various writers can lead to misunderstanding the words stated and cause interpretation difficulties for today's readers. Most conservative Christians believe God's Spirit was the ultimate Author. My novels attempt to keep the storyline that follows the actual chronology of the Bible without removing the message of the Author, the Holy Spirit.

Called the Novels with Spirit, my Bible novel series attempts to bring the Bible narrative in a flowing, contemporary style that will help the flow of reading the story. Most of the characters will be found in the Bible itself. However, some unnamed and fictional characters (as well as dialogue) have been inserted, providing clarity and smoothness throughout every chapter. The plan is to produce the entire Bible in softcover and eBook, and hopefully in an audio format. If this arouses your interest, for the published editions and future manuscripts, please scroll through the pages of this website.

The Novels with Spirit series is a creation of author Johnnie R. Jones. The series will be novels that enhance the characters and stories as found in the most-read and most-published book in history—the Bible. Stories in the Bible have time gaps and chronological anomalies of which readers are unaware. This series fills in many of the difficult spots with character dialogue and drama that bring each story alive. Fictional characters add to clarify many scenes. There are six novels currently available. Scroll through the books below for more information.
